Membership is also open to Anyone who becomes a member of the “Friends of the Stoneham Public Library”, “Friends of the Melrose Library”, students of the Stoneham Public School System, and employees of local businesses approved by the Board of Directors.

Once you become a member of the credit union, you’re a member for life, regardless of your employment or residence.

Patriot Act Notice

In accordance with section 326 of the USA Patriot Act, and to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you: When you open an account, the Stoneham m.e. Federal Credit Union will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask for a copy of your driver’s license or other identifying documents. For accounts opened with the person not present at the credit union, these items must be submitted to the credit union included with a Notary Public signature, authenticating execution of the documentation. This also includes organization documents for the opening of D/B/As (Doing Business As) and associated organization accounts.
